Tundra
For model year 2026, Toyota has added a mix of functional and comfort-oriented upgrades across the trim range of the Texas-built Tundra, the company’s flagship truck. The most noteworthy improvements for this five-seat pickup include a larger fuel tank (32.2-gallon capacity) across the board, a standard tow hitch with wiring on all trims, and added rear console air vents for Double Cab configurations. Plus, the Capstone gains Shale Premium Textured leather-trimmed seating, while the Limited now has leather upholstery. The TRD Pro is eligible for ISO Dynamic seats for improved ride comfort on rough terrain, and power running boards are now available on the Platinum and 1794 Edition when they’re equipped with the TRD Off-Road Package. These refinements build on the Tundra’s existing strengths in capability, powertrains, and trim variety.

The aforementioned varied trim lineup for the 2026 Tundra consists of the SR, SR5, Limited, Platinum, 1794 Edition, TRD Pro, and Capstone. Their power comes from Toyota’s i-Force twin-turbo 3.4-liter V6, which makes 358 horsepower and 406 lb.-ft. of torque in the SR. In the SR5 through the 1794 Edition, the same engine is tuned for 389 horsepower and 479 lb.-ft. of torque. The i-Force MAX hybrid system – standard on the TRD Pro and Capstone but optional for the Limited, Platinum, and 1794 Edition – makes 437 horsepower and 583 lb.-ft. of torque. All engines match up with a ten-speed electronically controlled automatic transmission with sequential shift mode, uphill/downhill shift logic, and Tow/Haul modes. Four-wheel drive (4WD) is standard on TRD Pro and Capstone and available on the other trims, which get rear-wheel drive (RWD) standard.
The CrewMax cab (four standard doors) with a 5.5-foot bed is standard across the lineup, with a 6.5-foot bed available on the SR5, Limited, Platinum, and 1794 Edition. The Double Cab (two standard front doors, two rear-access doors) offers a standard or 8.1-foot bed on the SR and SR5. Towing capacity ranges from 8,300 to 12,000 pounds, while payload capacity ranges from 1,485 to 1,940 pounds.
The Tundra’s EPA-estimated fuel economy varies by powertrain and configuration. Non-hybrids are rated for 17 to 18 mpg in the city and 22 to 23 mpg on the highway. The Tundra i-Force MAX hybrid returns 18 to 20 mpg in urban driving and 20 to 24 mpg on the open road.
