2026 Toyota Land Cruiser Hero

There are few automotive legends with a history as solid as the Land Cruiser’s. This stalwart off-roader got its start as a military vehicle in the 1950s, but over the decades it transformed to a beloved passenger SUV with something of a cult following. It’s always been highly capable and spacious, but more and more comfort features have been added to make it a sought-after family vehicle and road-trip vessel for a wide variety of drivers.

As one of the first 2027 models to come out, the Land Cruiser returns with a few changes in its available options. Both of its trims are newly eligible for a high-mount air intake, an upgrade that dedicated off-road drivers will appreciate. Buyers of the higher-cost trim can also elect the Premium Package, which has been expanded to include heated and ventilated back seats. The Land Cruiser remains ready to take on whatever overlanding challenges its driver can put before it, as it comes complete with full-time four-wheel drive, skid plates, and electronically locking center and rear differentials. The i-FORCE MAX hybrid system provides an undeniable mix of power and improved fuel economy.
