Trims and Powertrains

The rear-wheel-drive 2026 GR86 is offered in three trims: Base, Premium, and the limited-run Yuzu Edition. The 2.4-liter boxer engine produces 228 horsepower and 184 lb.-ft. of torque and pairs with a coveted six-speed manual transmission; a six-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters is optional for all trims. The EPA has estimated fuel economy for the manual gearbox at 20 mpg around town and 26 mpg on the open road. The automatic improves the ratings to 21 city/30 highway.

Standard Features

Performance equipment for the base-level GR86 includes circuit-tuned coil springs and shock absorbers, a Torsen limited-slip rear differential, bolstered sport front bucket seats with fabric upholstery inserts, and auto-leveling projector-type LED headlights. It also has dual-zone automatic climate control, remote keyless entry, push-button start, heated power side-view mirrors, a fold-down rear seatback, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, a 7-inch digital instrument panel, a tilt-and-telescopic steering column, two USB ports, and 17-inch alloy wheels.

The Premium trim adds heated front seats with leather-trimmed side bolsters, Ultrasuede upholstery, adaptive LED headlights, a duckbill rear spoiler, aluminum sport pedals, illuminated sun visors, and 18-inch alloy wheels. The GR86 Yuzu Edition complements that list of attributes with exclusive black Ultrasuede sport seats with yellow perforations and stitching, SACHS dampers, Brembo brakes, a commemorative plaque, unique interior accents, and 18-inch matte-black wheels.

Advanced Driver Aids and Safety Technology

Every trim grade of the ‘26 GR86 has Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 installed. This comprehensive collection of advanced driver aids consists of a pre-collision braking system, lead vehicle start alert, lane departure alert with sway warning, adaptive cruise control, and automatic high beams. The Premium and Yuzu Edition are upgraded with blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert. All three versions get seven airbags, anti-lock brakes, stability control with a track mode, traction control, hill start assist control, and a rearview monitor with projected path guidelines. Rear parking sensors and reverse automatic braking are added in conjunction with the automatic gearbox.

Multimedia and Connectivity

Infotainment happens via an 8-inch touchscreen system with wireless Android Auto, wireless Apple CarPlay, and SiriusXM satellite radio. All trims have access to Toyota connected services for emergency support, maintenance monitoring, and remote features. The base GR86 uses a six-speaker audio system, while the Premium and Yuzu Edition upgrade to eight speakers.
