The 2027 model year marks 60 years in the U.S. for the faithful Corolla, adding another chapter to the world’s most popular car. This compact four-door’s enduring appeal comes from a straightforward formula that combines uncomplicated design, everyday practicality, affordability, and noteworthy fuel efficiency. The SE and XSE add a sportier touch to the lineup, with chassis and appearance upgrades that set them apart from the comfort-focused LE.
All three trims use Toyota's Dynamic Shift CVT, a unique continuously variable transmission (CVT) that incorporates a physical first gear. This arrangement provides quicker and more responsive initial acceleration while retaining the efficiency advantages of a CVT.
