The 2025 Corolla Cross offers a three-tier trim range: L, LE, and XLE. Their power comes from a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine producing 169 horsepower; it’s paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT). Buyers can choose between standard front-wheel drive (FWD) or optional all-wheel drive (AWD). The FWD configuration achieves EPA-estimated fuel economy ratings of 31 mpg in the city and 33 mpg on the highway, while AWD editions return 29 mpg in town and 31 mpg on the open road. Towing capacity reaches 1,500 pounds with the proper equipment. Cargo volume measures 24 cubic feet behind the rear seats with FWD, but that drops to 21.5 cubic feet with AWD.
Toyota focuses the base L trim on value and the essentials. This grade has fabric-trimmed seating, manual air conditioning with rear vents, LED headlights with automatic on/off, heated power side mirrors, a 4.2-inch driver information display, a tilt-and-telescopic steering column, intermittent windshield wipers, two USB ports, and 17-inch steel wheels with covers. The LE adds proximity keyless entry, single-zone automatic climate control, push-button ignition, rear privacy glass, heated power side mirrors with built-in turn indicators, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, variable intermittent wipers (front and rear), black roof rails, wireless device charging, two additional USB ports, and 17-inch alloy wheels. Toyota’s optional LE Moonroof Package adds a moonroof and cargo cover.
The XLE elevates the interior with SofTex leatherette upholstery, heated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, and a ten-way power driver’s seat. It also gets a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, complete LED exterior lighting with fog lamps, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a leather-wrapped shift knob, a cargo cover, a rear folding armrest, and 18-inch alloy wheels. The optional XLE Convenience Package will add a power moonroof and power liftgate. Adaptive headlights (which turn in sync with the front wheels) are also offered for the LE and XLE.
Every 2025 Corolla Cross comes with Toyota Safety Sense 3.0, incorporating forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane departure alert with steering assist, lane-tracing assist, adaptive cruise control, automatic high beams, and road sign assist. The LE and XLE trims include blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and safe exit assist. The XLE also features front and rear parking sensors with automatic braking, a set of airbags, stability control, traction control, anti-lock brakes, hill start assist, Smart Stop Technology (to limit unintended acceleration), and a rearview camera, with the XLE adding dynamic guidelines to the display.
The infotainment system centers around an 8-inch touchscreen interface. The standard connectivity features include wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, SiriusXM satellite radio, Bluetooth, and access to a Wi-Fi hotspot and Toyota connected services. Cloud Navigation is available on every trim. A six-speaker audio system is standard issue, but the LE and XLE trims can upgrade to a nine-speaker JBL sound system.
