The 2025 Toyota Sequoia comes in six grades: SR5, Limited, Platinum, 1794 Edition, TRD Pro, and Capstone. They all have Toyota’s 3.4-liter twin-turbocharged V6 i-FORCE MAX hybrid powertrain, which produces 437 horsepower and 583 lb.-ft. of torque. Rather than being mounted on an axle, the electric motor is situated within the bell housing between the engine and the 10-speed automatic transmission to provide an efficient power boost.
The SR5 and Limited are offered with rear-wheel drive (RWD) or part-time four-wheel drive (4WD), while part-time 4WD is standard on 1794, Platinum, TRD Pro, and Capstone. The EPA has estimated fuel economy for RWD Sequoias at 21 mpg around town and 24 mpg on the highway. With 4WD, the Sequoia returns 19 mpg city/22 mpg highway.

It also has a black “TOYOTA” heritage grille with integrated light bar and amber marker lights, a red TRD engine start button, a red-striped leather-wrapped shift knob, trim-specific SofTex-upholstered seats with contract sticking and technical camo pattern inserts, a leather-wrapped steering wheel with TRD badging and a red center stripe, all-weather floor mats, a dual-tipped exhaust, and washer-linked variable intermittent windshield wipers. The 1794 Edition pays homage to the year a ranch in Texas was established on the site where the Sequoia is currently assembled. Its hallmarks are leather upholstery in Saddle Tan, American walnut wood-grain interior trim with a laser-etched “1794 EDITION” instrument panel badge, 20-inch machined-finish alloy wheels, unique all-weather floor mats, a chrome-accented mesh grille with chrome surround, a color-keyed tailgate spoiler, and black-painted overfenders.
The top-of-the-line Capstone is the Sequoia’s pinnacle of luxury with 10-way power front massaging seats trimmed with semi-aniline leather, automatic power-extending running boards, a 60/40-split-folding third row with power operation, a 10-inch head-up display, dark American walnut wood-grain interior trim with “CAPSTONE” backlit on the passenger side of the dashboard and the metal speaker grilles, acoustic laminated front and side windows, special floor mats, 22-inch dark-chrome and machined-finish alloy wheels, chrome exterior badging, color-keyed overfenders, premium LED headlights with black trim, chrome-plated outside mirror caps, chrome-plated door handles, and satin-chrome-plated roof rails.

All grades also get a backup camera that shows the projected path, along with a panoramic view monitor, a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert and trailer merge warning, and front and rear parking assist with automatic braking and drive-start control.
The base multimedia system in the ’25 Sequoia has an 8.0-inch touchscreen, which is upgraded to a 14-inch touchscreen starting at the Limited level. While most trims get an eight-speaker sound system, the Platinum and higher get a JBL unit with 14 speakers, a subwoofer, and an amplifier (this audio upgrade is optional for the Limited). All grades receive Bluetooth, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability, and a one-year trial subscription to Toyota’s Remote Connect service; a one-year trial subscription to Toyota’s Drive Connect service is included on the Limited and above.
