Since its debut in 2016, the gas-electric Toyota RAV4 Hybrid has earned a reputation as a top choice for buyers in search of a fuel-efficient, dependable, and versatile compact crossover. The 2025 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid continues that successful run with rugged styling, a spacious interior, and advanced features. With up to 69.8 cubic feet of potential cargo space (when the second-row seatbacks are folded down), it offers a surprising amount of room for stuff as well. As if RAV4 dependability and gas-electric fuel efficiency aren’t enough to attract you, every ‘25 RAV4 Hybrid also includes ToyotaCare, a no-cost maintenance plan that covers routine oil changes, tire rotations, and multipoint inspections for 2 years or 25,000 miles (whichever comes first).

2.5L 4-Cylinder w/ Dual Electric Motors
Standard All-Wheel Drive
The 2025 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid is sold in seven trims: LE, XLE, XLE Premium, Woodland Edition, SE, XSE, and Limited. Each is set up with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine paired with two electric motors, for a combined output of 219 horsepower. Power is managed by an electronically controlled continuously variable transmission (eCVT), and standard all-wheel drive (AWD).
As mentioned, one of the RAV4 Hybrid’s most outstanding qualities is its exceptional fuel efficiency. Most trims achieve an EPA-estimated 41 mpg around town and 38 mpg on the highway, except for the Woodland Edition, which returns 38 mpg city/35 mpg highway. In addition to its smooth performance and confident handling, the ‘25 RAV4 Hybrid can tow up to 1,750 pounds, making it a great option for transporting a lightweight trailer, small boat, or gear for outdoor adventures.
The well-equipped LE comes well equipped with remote keyless entry, fabric-trimmed seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, a 60/40-split fold-flat rear seat with a center armrest and cupholders, three USB ports (one media and two charging), two 12-volt power outlets, a 7-inch digital gauge cluster, in-dash storage trays, rear privacy glass, low-profile roof rails, and full LED lighting (including headlights, taillights, cabin lights, and daytime running lights). The XLE adds distinctive polygonal-design seat inserts, an 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, Smart Key with push-button start, front door handles with touch-sensor lock/unlock, a tonneau cover for the cargo area, two additional USB charging ports, a 12-volt cargo-area outlet, heated side mirrors with turn-signal and blind-spot indicators, and automatic on/off headlights.
The XLE Premium brings its occupants the most comfort and convenience with its premium amenities. The list includes SofTex upholstery, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, a power tilt/slide moonroof, a power liftgate, anti-slip in-dash storage trays, and LED fog lights.
Geared toward adventure, the Woodland Edition is based on the XLE but with exclusive bronze-finished alloy wheels, a rear activity mount, raised roof rails with crossbars, black exterior accents, front and rear mudguards, LED fog lights, all-weather floor mats, an all-weather cargo liner, and a 120-volt power outlet. The SE comparable to the XLE in its equipment but it shows off a sportier aesthetic with blue-accented fabric upholstery, blue interior stitching and embossed seat inserts, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, and a sport-tuned suspension with blue-painted shock absorbers.
At the top of the sport-styled spectrum, the XSE includes SofTex-trimmed seats with fabric inserts and blue stitching, heated front seats, a two-tone exterior, a power liftgate, a power moonroof, blue ambient interior lighting, vertical LED accent lights, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror with HomeLink. The Limited forgoes the sportier elements of the XSE in favor of sophistication, providing heated and ventilated front seats with position memory for the driver and power adjustability for the passenger, a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, dark-brown interior accents, LED fog lights, and side-mirror puddle lights.
Many of those upmarket amenities are available for lower trims via packages or upgrades. Some other options of note include a heated steering wheel, heated rear outboard seats, a panoramic glass roof, wireless phone charging, a digital rearview mirror, a hands-free power liftgate, rain-sensing windshield wipers, and a windshield wiper de-icer.
The ‘25 RAV4 Hybrid comes with a comprehensive array of standard active safety technologies through the Toyota Safety Sense 2.5 suite. The standard technologies are a pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, full-speed range dynamic radar cruise control, lane departure alert with steering assist, lane tracing assist, automatic high beams, and road sign assist. The XLE and above add a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert, which is available as an option for the LE. The Limited heightens the safety factor with standard front and rear parking sensors and automatic braking, an available upgrade for both the XLE Premium and XSE. The XSE and Limited are eligible for a panoramic view monitor with a 360-degree overhead camera system, making it easier to navigate tight spaces and crowded parking lots.
Most ‘25 RAV4 Hybrid trims are outfitted with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system that includes wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, SiriusXM satellite radio, a 30-day free trial of Wi-Fi Connect (Toyota’s built-in Wi-Fi hotspot), a six-speaker sound system, and Bluetooth hands-free phone and audio streaming. The XSE and Limited upgrade to a 10.5-inch screen. While the XSE is eligible to upgrade to an 11-speaker JBL audio system for improved sound quality, that setup comes standard in the Limited.
Exclusive to the Limited is a complimentary one-year trial subscription to Drive Connect, a connected services package that features Cloud Navigation with Google Points of Interest, Intelligent Assistant voice recognition, and Destination Assist. For all other trims, Drive Connect requires a paid subscription.
