Trims and Powertrain

As mentioned, there are just two trim packages for the 2025 Land Cruiser: the throwback 1958 and the self-named Land Cruiser. Their i-FORCE MAX hybrid powertrain is based around a turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine helped out by two electric motors (combined output: 326 horsepower and 465 lb.-ft. of torque). Full-time 4-wheel-drive is standard, as is Toyota’s eight-speed Electronically Controlled Automatic Transmission with Intelligence. The Land Cruiser can tow up to 6,000 pounds, and there is 46.2 cubic feet of cargo space behind the second row. The EPA has estimated the fuel economy for both trims to be 22 mpg in city driving and 25 mpg on the highway.

Standard Features

The 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser’s 1958 trim pays homage to the original namesake model with circular LED headlights. This entry-level trim is well outfitted with tri-zone automatic climate control, heated front seats, fabric upholstery, proximity keyless entry, push-button start, and LED fog lights, rear privacy glass, front skid plates, a tilt-and-telescopic steering column, an analog gauge cluster with a 7-inch digital display, LED cabin lighting, a windshield wiper de-icer, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a leather-trimmed shift lever, six USB ports, and 18-inch alloy wheels.

The Land Cruiser trim takes on a modern look with rectangular LED headlights and Rigid Industries LED color-selectable fog lights. As the higher trim level, it also has heated and ventilated front seats, SofTex leatherette upholstery, an eight-way power driver’s seat, a power liftgate, a power tilt-and-telescopic steering column, a 12.3-inch digital information display, a multi-terrain monitor, and roof rails. As far as options, this trim is eligible for leather upholstery, a power moonroof, wireless device charging, and a driver’s position memory system.

Advanced Driver Assistance and Safety Technology

Both 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser trims come standard with Toyota Safety Sense 3.0, which includes a pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, lane departure alert with steering assist, lane-tracing assist, proactive driving assist, adaptive cruise control, road sign assist, and automatic high beams. Some other standard safety features include blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, front and rear parking sensors with automatic braking, safe exit alert, and trailer sway control. Buyers of the Land Cruiser trim can get optional front cross-traffic alert, lane change assist, and traffic jam assist. Both trims have ten airbags, anti-lock brakes, stability control, traction control, Smart Stop Technology, and a rearview monitor with guidelines.

Infotainment and Connectivity

The 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser’s infotainment system includes an 8-inch touchscreen on the 1958 and a 12.3-inch touchscreen on the Land Cruiser trim. Both systems offer wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, and SiriusXM satellite radio. The 1958 has a six-speaker audio system, while the Land Cruiser trim upgrades to a standard 10-speaker system or the optional 14-speaker JBL audio system. Access to Toyota Connected Services (for navigation, emergency help, a Wi-Fi hot spot, vehicle monitoring, and other features) is included on both.
