All three Corolla Hybrid trims—LE, SE, and XLE employ a hybrid-enhanced 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine for an output of 138 horsepower. Front-wheel drive (FWD) is standard, while the LE and SE are eligible for electronic all-wheel drive (AWD). An electronically controlled continuously variable transmission (ECVT) manages both drivetrains.
The LE’s and XLE’s FWD fuel economy has been estimated by the EPA to reach 53 mpg in city driving and 46 mpg on the highway. For the SE, it’s 50 city/43 highway. With AWD, the Corolla Hybrid LE is rated for 51 mpg around town and 44 mpg on the open road (47 city/41 highway for the SE).
Automatic climate control, LED exterior lighting, and variable intermittent windshield wipers aren’t usually included with an entry-level trim, but the 2025 Corolla Hybrid LE indeed has those amenities. Its other standard equipment includes fabric upholstery, a 4.2-inch driver information display, power side mirrors, remote keyless entry, a 60/40-split folding rear seat, a tilt-and-telescopic steering column, four USB ports (two per row), and 16-inch steel wheels with covers. The available LE Convenience Package adds proximity keyless entry, push-button start, 16-inch alloy wheels, and additional driver-assist technologies (covered below). The optional LE Premium Package combines a power moonroof and everything from the Convenience Package.
The appearance-forward SE adds more dynamic elements, like unique exterior accents, a rear spoiler, sport seats with upgraded fabric upholstery, selectable driving modes, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and 18-inch alloy wheels. Proximity keyless entry and push-button start are also standard. The optional SE Premium Package will furnish a power moonroof and additional driver-assist features (see the next section for details). The XLE gets as standard features everything you’ll find in an LE equipped with the Premium Package, plus SofTex leatherette upholstery, heated front seats, an eight-way power driver’s seat, wireless device charging, a 7-inch digital instrument display, and 16-inch alloy wheels.
Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 comes standard across the Corolla Hybrid trim range. The system includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane departure alert with steering assist, lane-tracing assist, proactive driving assist (for additional braking and steering support), adaptive cruise control, automatic high beams, and road sign recognition. The XLE also gets blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, which can be added to the LE and SE through the respective Convenience Package or Premium Package. Ten airbags are included on every Corolla Hybrid, as are anti-lock brakes, stability control, traction control, hill start assist control, and a rearview monitor.
The Corolla Hybrid’s infotainment system is based around an 8-inch touchscreen in the LE and SE, while the XLE receives an upgrade to a 10.5-inch touchscreen (optional for the SE). All trims get wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, SiriusXM satellite radio, and access to Cloud Navigation, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and Toyota Connected Services (for emergency help, vehicle monitoring, and other remote features). The default six-speaker audio system can be upgraded to a nine-speaker JBL arrangement in the XLE.
