The 2025 Toyota Corolla FX has a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with an output of 169 horsepower and 151 pounds-feet of torque. A continuously variable transmission (CVT) manages the front-wheel drivetrain, and fuel economy is EPA-estimated at 31 mpg city/39 mpg highway.
As with the other Corolla models, the 2025 FX is built on the TNGA-C platform with a super-rigid structure, standard independent front MacPherson-type strut suspension with a stabilizer bar, and a lower center of gravity for ride comfort and good handling. Toyota also tuned the electric power steering system for a track-inspired feeling.
Although it shares some of the features of the top-grade Corolla XSE, the Corolla FX has a more daring exterior style with its enhanced black rear spoiler, black mirror caps, black badging, gray metallic side rocker panels, and 18-inch satin-black machined alloy wheels with black lug nuts. Buyers can choose from three colors: Ice Cap, Midnight Black Metallic, and Underground, with all three getting a Midnight Black Metallic Roof, allowing for an optional two-tone appearance. Inside, the seats are upholstered in Moonstone (gray) fabric with contrast orange stitching and sport inserts. Some of the other standard features are automatic climate control, a leather-trimmed steering wheel, wireless smartphone charging, a 7-inch digital gauge cluster, and four USB ports.
Like the rest of the Corolla lineup, the 2025 Corolla FX has the Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 technology suite installed. The driver-assist features include adaptive cruise control, pedestrian detection, a pre-collision system (forward collision warning and automatic emergency braking), lane tracing assist, lane departure alert with steering assist, traffic sign recognition, proactive driving assist, and automatic high beams. The optional SE Convenience Package upgrade includes heated power outside mirrors with rear cross-traffic alert and blind spot warning.
The 2025 Corolla FX contains a 10.5-inch infotainment touchscreen – a big jump over the standard 8-inch unit found in the 2024 Corolla lineup. It also has wireless Android Auto, wireless Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth hands-free phone, and SiriusXM satellite radio.
