Trims and Powertrain

The 2025 Camry lineup consists of four trims: LE, SE, XLE, and XSE. The gas-electric powertrain unites a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine with two electric motors and an electronically controlled continuously variable transmission (ECVT), putting out 225 combined horsepower. Front-wheel drive (FWD) is the default, with all-wheel drive (AWD) optional on every trim. With AWD, an additional rear electric motor is added, raising the output to 232 combined horsepower.

According to the EPA’s estimated fuel economy ratings, the LE with FWD returns 53 mpg around town and 50 mpg on the highway, which changes to 51 mpg city/49 mpg highway with AWD. The SE and higher should achieve 48 mpg city/47 mpg highway with FWD and 46 mpg for both city and highway driving with AWD.

Standard Features

The LE has the most basic equipment list, yet it’s still sprinkled with perks such as wireless smartphone charging, heated power side mirrors, and dual-zone automatic climate control. Some of this base trim’s other attributes are cloth upholstery, bi-LED headlights, LED daytime running lights, LED combination taillights, a 7-inch digital gauge cluster, five USB ports, one 12-volt power outlet, and 16-inch silver-painted alloy wheels. The SE moves up to seats upholstered in a mix of SofTex and fabric, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, paddle shifters, aluminum sport pedals, and an 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat. Its dark-themed exterior appearance is dominated by a black sport mesh grille, racing-inspired black front side canards and air curtains, a single exhaust outlet with dual chrome tips, black “CAMRY” rear lettering, and 18-inch black-finished alloy wheels.

The XLE upgrades to chrome-finished window trim, dual LED projector headlights, premium LED combination taillights, a smart key system with remote keyless entry and illuminated entry, a 12.3-inch fully digital gauge cluster, leather and microfiber upholstery, heated front seats, a heated leather steering wheel, white LED ambient interior lighting, and an auto-dimming day/night rearview mirror with an integrated backup camera, HomeLink, a compass display, and map lights. At the top of the lineup, the XSE has leather seating, an 8-way power-adjustable passenger seat, aluminum sport pedals, and 18-inch two-tone machined and black-finished wheels. Among the optional equipment groupings for the ’25 Camry is the Premium Package for the XLE and XSE. It will add a panoramic glass roof with a power moonroof, ventilated front seats, a JBL audio system with nine speakers, a 10-inch head-up display, and digital key capability (the XLE will also get rain-sensing windshield wipers and memory settings for the driver’s seat and side mirrors). Toyota also offers the Premium Plus Package for these two trims. It contains the aforementioned amenities plus some additional safety technologies (see the next section for details).

Advanced Driver Aids and Safety Technology

Regardless of trim, the 2025 Camry is well appointed with the Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 suite and other advanced driver aids, including a pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, dynamic radar cruise control, proactive driving assist, a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert and safe exit alert, lane tracing assist, lane departure alert with steering assist, road sign assist, rear-seat reminder, and automatic high beams. The XLE and XSE are eligible for the optional Premium Plus Package, which will add a panoramic view monitor, a driver monitor camera, front and rear parking assist with automatic braking, lane change assist, traffic jam assist, front cross-traffic alert, and rear cross-traffic braking.

Infotainment and Connectivity

The LE has an 8-inch color touchscreen with a USB media port, Bluetooth hands-free phone and music streaming, SiriusXM satellite radio, wireless Android Auto, and wireless Apple CarPlay. The XLE increases the color touchscreen to 12.3 inches, and the optional Premium and Premium Plus Packages add a JBL audio system with nine speakers, an amplifier, and a subwoofer. All trim levels are set up for Toyota Connected Services such as Safety Connect, Service Connect, Remote Connect, Wi-Fi Connect, and Drive Connect, including trial subscriptions in some cases.
