Toyota markets the ’24 Venza in LE, XLE, Nightshade Edition, and Limited trim levels. All are outfitted with a hybrid powerplant consisting of a 2.5-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine and two electric motors. Together, they make a total system output of 219 horsepower, which is sent to the on-demand AWD system via an electronically controlled continuously variable transmission (eCVT). The Venza’s EPA-estimated fuel economy is remarkable, as all trims are rated to return 40 mpg in the city and 37 mpg on the highway.
The LE is well-stocked for a base trim, getting a hands-free liftgate, heated exterior mirrors with turn-signal and blind-spot warning indicators, front door and liftgate handles with touch-sensor lock/unlock, rear privacy glass, and automatic projector-type LED headlights. Inside, you’ll find a wireless phone charge pad, a 7-inch LCD multi-information display, five USB ports (four charging and one data), a leather-wrapped power tilt/telescopic steering wheel, a leather-wrapped shift knob, dual-zone automatic climate control, push-button ignition, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, and a 60/40-split rear seatback that includes a folding center armrest with cupholders.
The XLE receives LED fog lights, roof rails, touch-sensor lock/unlock on all doors, an auto-dimming rearview mirror with HomeLink, position memory for the driver’s seat and steering wheel, SofTex synthetic-leather upholstery, heated front seats, a center console with ambient lighting, and wood-look interior trim. The Nightshade Edition is similar, but with a sleek, blacked-out exterior, including a gloss-black front grille with smoked chrome accents, a black shark-fin antenna, and gloss-black 19-inch spoked alloy wheels. The Limited represents refinement, building upon the XLE with a heated steering wheel, perforated synthetic-leather upholstery, a power-adjustable front passenger’s seat, puddle lights displaying the “Venza” logo, rain-sensing wipers, a 12.3-inch LCD multi-information display, a 10-inch head-up display, and a digital rearview mirror. To take in the expansive sky from inside the ’24 Venza’s serene cabin, the Nightshade Edition and Limited are eligible for the Star Gaze panoramic fixed-glass roof.
The 2024 Venza has the Toyota Safety Sense 2.5+ suite installed as standard equipment. This assortment of advanced driving aids includes a pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, lane departure alert with steering assist, lane tracing assist, automatic high beams, full-speed range dynamic radar cruise control, and road sign assist. Moreover, every trim gets blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert. The XLE, Nightshade Edition, and Limited all receive front and rear parking sensors with reverse automatic braking, while the Limited is loaded with a surround-view monitor.
The LE’s infotainment system encompasses an 8-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, SiriusXM satellite radio, Bluetooth hands-free phone and audio streaming, and a sound system with six speakers. The XLE and above progress to a 12.3-inch touchscreen, but while the XLE and Nightshade Edition retain the six-speaker audio system, the Limited gets a nine-speaker JBL system (which is available for the XLE).
The Limited also has a free one-year trial to Drive Connect (available via paid subscription for the other trims), which includes Cloud Navigation with Google Points of Interest, advanced Intelligent Assistant voice recognition, and Destination Assist. What’s more, all trims receive a 30-day free trial to Wi-Fi Connect, with the availability to extend through paid subscription.
