The 2024 RAV4 Hybrid has seven trim choices: LE, XLE, Woodland Edition, XLE Premium, SE, XSE, and Limited. A 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine forms the 219-hp powertrain with two electric motors and a continuously variable transmission (CVT). As mentioned, all-wheel drive is standard.
According to the official fuel economy estimations performed by the EPA, most trims return 41 mpg around town and 38 mpg on the open road (except for the Woodland, which is rated for 38 city/35 mpg highway). There’s 69.8 cubic feet of cargo space behind the front seats (or 37.5 cubic feet when the back seat is occupied). With the proper equipment, the RAV4 Hybrid can tow up to 1,750 pounds.
The LE trim presents its occupants with remote keyless entry, fabric upholstery, dual-zone automatic climate control with rear-seat vents, LED exterior lighting, a 4.2-inch driver information display, rear privacy glass, power side mirrors, a tilt-and-telescopic steering column, three USB ports, and 17-inch alloy wheels. The XLE adds proximity keyless entry, upgraded LED exterior lighting, push-button start, two additional USB ports, and a cargo-area cover. The optional XLE Convenience Package will furnish a power moonroof and a power liftgate.
The Woodland Edition rejoins the RAV4 Hybrid lineup with off-pavement vibes backed by a TRD-tuned suspension, twin-tube shock absorbers, Falken off-road tires, and a driver-selectable Trail Mode (for wheel-specific traction enhancements, like a limited-slip differential). This rugged trim also has LED fog lights, roof rails, a rear activity mount (for adding a cargo carrier or bike rack), a 120-volt outlet in the cargo area, front and rear mudguards, unique exterior treatments, and 18-inch bronze-finished alloy wheels. The XLE Premium brings together the XLE and XLE Convenience Package and adds SofTex upholstery, an eight-way power driver’s seat, integrated LED fog lights, 18-inch alloy wheels, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel.
The SE offers an athletic take on the XLE with a sport-tuned suspension, a power moonroof, blue-accented fabric upholstery, unique exterior treatments, and 18-inch black-finished wheels. The XSE goes one step further with a dual-tone exterior with a Midnight Black Metallic roof, heated front seats, SofTex upholstery with cloth inserts, an eight-way power driver’s seat, enhanced exterior lighting, a 12.3-inch digital instrument display, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. The Limited has many of the upscale elements seen in the XLE Premium and the XSE but takes on a look of its own with unique exterior treatments and red interior accents.
Every 2024 RAV4 Hybrid includes the Toyota Safety Sense 2.5 suite of driver-assist technologies. The list includes a pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, lane departure alert with steering assist, lane tracing assist, adaptive cruise control, automatic high beams, and road sign assist. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert come standard on all trims. Front and rear parking sensors with automatic braking are included with the Limited and optional on the XLE Premium and XSE.
The lower grades of the RAV4 Hybrid get an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, while the XSE and Limited upgrade to a 10.5-inch version (this is an option for the XLE Premium). The system’s standard components are wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth, and SiriusXM satellite radio. A six-speaker sound system is standard across the range, except in the case of the Limited, which gets an 11-speaker JBL arrangement (this is available for the XLE Premium and XSE). All trims have access to a Wi-Fi hotspot and Toyota Connected Services (for Cloud Navigation, emergency support, and remote features).
