The all-new Land Cruiser lineup presents a choice of three trim packages: Land Cruiser 1958, Land Cruiser, and First Edition. A 2.4-liter 4-cylinder i-FORCE MAX gas-electric hybrid powertrain forms the mechanical foundation with an 8-speed electronically controlled automatic transmission and a 288-volt battery with 1.87 kWh of capacity. This powertrain has an output of 326 horsepower and 465 lb.-ft. of torque, with each trim achieving EPA-estimated fuel economy of 23 mpg city/25 mpg highway. Every ‘24 Land Cruiser also has a full-time 4WD system with active traction control and Torsen limited-slip center differential with a locking feature. A trailer hitch comes installed on all trim levels, and the maximum towing capacity is 6,000 pounds.
The Land Cruiser 1958 cabin is a comfortable space with tri-zone automatic climate control, heated front seats, cloth upholstery, a leather-trimmed shift lever, an auto-dimming rearview mirror with HomeLink, LED illumination in the second row and cargo area, six USB ports, two 12-volt power outlets (front/cargo area), a 7-inch color multi-information display, and an 8-inch color touchscreen for multimedia. Outside the SUV are circular LED headlights, integrated LED fog lights and daytime running lights, rain-sensing windshield wipers with de-icing feature, a smart key system on all doors and the liftgate, front/rear frame-mounted tow hooks, and a front skid plate with engine, transmission, and transfer case protection.
The upgrades to the mid-level Land Cruiser trim include SofTex upholstery, ventilated and heated front seats, an 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat with memory settings a power open/close liftgate, roof rails, rectangular LED headlights, LED color-selectable fog lights by Rigid Industries, a power tilt/telescopic steering wheel, all-weather floor liners and cargo mats, and dual 12.3-inch screens: a digital cluster gauge and an infotainment touchscreen. This mid-grade trim is eligible for the Premium Package, which adds wireless phone charging, a head-up display, Digital Key, illuminated entry, a moonroof, a cooler box (in the center console), a digital rearview mirror, leather seats, a power driver’s seat with position memory, and some additional safety tech (see the next section).
The First Edition adds a cargo basket to its roof rails along with front/rear heavy-duty mudguards, a trim-exclusive skid plate, rock rails, digital key compatibility, illuminated entry, a JBL premium audio system, a power moonroof, a head-up display, wireless device charging, leather upholstery, an auto-dimming rearview mirror with digital display, and a cooler in the center console.
All ‘24 Land Cruiser SUVs are outfitted with 10 airbags, a blind spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert and trailer merge warning, trailer sway control, front/rear parking assist sonar, and safe exit alert. Toyota Safety Sense 3.0, a suite of advanced driver aids and technologies, also comes standard on every trim. It consists of automatic high beams, a pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, dynamic radar cruise control, proactive driving assist, lane departure assist with steering assist, lane tracing assist, and road sign assist. A panoramic view monitor and front cross-traffic alert are available for the mid-grade Land Cruiser via the Premium Package. The First Edition gets those two upgrades as standard equipment along with a digital display rearview mirror.
The base-level Land Cruiser 1958 has an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment array with a six-speaker audio system, wireless Android Auto, wireless Apple CarPlay, and 3 months’ complimentary access to SiriusXM satellite radio. Buyers also get subscriptions to Toyota connected services like Safety Connect (up to 10 years), Service Connect (up to 10 years), Wi-Fi Connect (up to 30 days/3 GB), and Remote Connect (1 year), with capability for Drive Connect. The mid-level Land Cruiser moves up to a 12.3-inch color touchscreen with a 10-speaker sound system and adds a 1-year trial subscription to the Drive Connect service. The First Edition maximizes multimedia enjoyment with a 14-speaker premium JBL audio system that includes an amplifier and subwoofer.
